Fun with MaKey MaKey

As part of our unit on enterprise Room 15 is looking at inventing our own console for an online game. Over the holidays our teacher bought a MaKey MaKey. A MaKey MaKey is a circuit which hooks up to your computer you then hook up the circuit to different objects via alligator clips. The catch is finding out which materials will conduct a tiny electricity to complete the circuit and turn the object into a key on the computer.

Our teacher went to an online drum kit to help us test different materials. It was lots of fun but now the serious business of designing a console begins!

  1. Hi Room 15,

I really want a MaKey MaKey! They look really cool and interesting. My friend has one and she plays with it all the time during Robotics. That is really cool how you can use a leaf! What was the most unusual object that you used?
