It's time for a pep talk
Hi Room 15
I can't believe we are already at the end of the second week. I hope you are all enjoying your time at TIS and have made some new friends. I thought this would be a fantastic time for a pep talk which I saw online last week.
What do you think kid president's key message is?
Do you think the video might have been different if an adult was speaking how so?
What are you going to do to make the world more awesome?
Have you had any challenges in the last two weeks? How have you overcome them?

hello Miss
ReplyDeleteI think the key message was you are who you are and no one can change who you are.
I think it would have been different if an adult was talking because it wouldn't pull people in like it did.
I'm going to put out all the ideas I have.
I haven't had any challenges.
thanks Jono
Hi Stephanie
ReplyDeleteI think Kid President's key message is that you should never stop believing in yourself and you should never give up.
Yes I think it would have been different if an adult was speaking because it would have been less inspiring to kids.
I don't know what I'm going to do to make the world more awesome.
No I haven't had any challenges in the past week.
From Helen
hi miss Thompson,
ReplyDeleteI tink that the kid president's message is to think big and try things new and if you fail keep trying.
If an adult was talking it would just be a bore for us kids plus we wouldent be able to relate to them, plus they use compicated words that we dont understand.
I am going to try to be posertive to people.
I had the challeng of getting up a 5:55 get ready and go on the train by myself, even on the first day.

ReplyDeleteI think the Kid president is trying to say
that if you set a goal "you can do it"(Rob schiender)
It was also a hilarious video
Hi Stephanie
ReplyDeleteI think the key message is never give up on your dreams.
If an adult was speaking they would make the video a bit longer.

Hi Stepanie
ReplyDeleteI think the kid president was trying to say that we need to try and make the world a more friendly and intresting place.Yes because it would have been more boring and wouldn't have gotten us kids attenion.I don't know.Taking my medicine to heal my throat, and I tryed to ignore the taste.
Hi Stephany
ReplyDeleteI think the messagege is to be who you are
If a adult was talking it wouldn't better it would be worse because it was funny and more people will watch it
To make the world more awesome I will be myself
I did have a challenge because when I started I was shy after a few weeks I was fine.
From Tom
Hi Stephanie
ReplyDeleteI think mini Obama's point in the video was to never to stop believing. I think the video would have been a different if was an adult because people would have thought it was only for adults. To make the world more awesome, I would tell young kids to never give up on their ambitions and never give up.
My challenge has been grab a crab by a pincer and put it into the bucket by closing my eyes.
Nick
Hello Ms. Thompson
ReplyDeleteI think the kid presidents key message was never give up on your dream.
I dont think it will be diffrent because a kid can explain stuff as well as adult.
The way im gonna make the world more awesome is to make my dream and try to make other peoples dream come true.
Making new friends was my challenge and goal for me and it was hard but I got some (E.g Nick, Ethan and Ram)
Im Jullian
DeleteI forgot to put my name on
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeello Stephanie,
ReplyDeletei think the kid presedent is tring to say that if you
do somthing that you like and you fail
"never give up"(Rob Schiender)
Hi Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThe key idea was to never give up you dream (unless it was stupid). Not much many kids would have paid attention with an adult but with kid it was funny and cute.
If I don't give up on my dream, it help others not to give up on their dream.
Hi Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteI think kid presedent was trying to say was when you get
knocked down don't give up and keep going.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI think that the video was to not give up. The video would be different with adult because it would be more sensible. My challenges have been making new friends and getting used to the school.
Zane
Hello Miss
ReplyDeleteI think that he wanted us never to give up.
Yes because an adult would be more scerious than the kid.
Never give up on ideas.
No.
From Charlie

2.It wouldnt be as funny.
3.Never give up and keep trying.
4.No.
Hi Miss
ReplyDeleteNever give up there is no such thing as a bad idea.
Yes because he would have a longer speach and he would use big words.
Give good ideas.

Howdy Stephanie'
ReplyDeleteI think that the Kid presidents aim is to make sure nobody gives up on thier ideas unless the idea is stupid. If an adult was in the video it would lose all the humour and would get no views.I am going to encourage people who want to give up so they dont waste time on what they did.My challnge in the last two weeks has been to get a lollipop moment which hasnt happened
Thanks for reading

ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie
ReplyDeleteI think the key message was to never give up on a dream. I think an adult wouldn't make it funny like president. I am going to make the world more awesome by telling others not to give up. My challenges this week have been the test.
Rose
